My time in Germany has been an unforgettable experience. It has had its ups and downs, but I’ve had a lot of fun during my stay. When I came, I quickly found out that there was more about Germany that was different from Canada than I thought. It took a while to get used to life here, but I learned a lot about living in a new place and with people who aren’t your family. My favourite part of the exchange was the travelling. I got to see a lot of Germany and a little bit of other countries as well. I saw some amazing things, like the countryside of northern Germany and the north-sea, all the way down to the alpine mountains and the beautiful meadows of the south.
Another part of the exchange that I really liked were the memories and friends that I made. They taught me a lot of German, even more than my German classes at school, and they were a lot of fun to hang out with. I’m not totally satisfied with my German yet, but I know this exchange is only the beginning of my learning journey. Ich danke meiner Gastfamilie, meinen Freunden, und Miriam. Ich habe viel Spaß hier in Deutschland gehabt. Ich hoffe ich werde euch in der Zukunft sehen.
